A licensed certified public accountant in the State of New York and a founding partner of GKG, Don has provided comprehensive consulting and guidance to individuals, family-owned and closely-held businesses for over thirty years.
Don has extensive experience within a variety of industries including; school bus operators, retailers, construction contractors, limousine companies, equestrian facilities, professional service firms and distributors. He has helped clients navigate the complex challenges of cash flow, rapid growth, consolidation, financing, cost control and budgeting, while always paying close attention to tax savings opportunities. Don has also managed the financial operations for a large metropolitan construction management firm where he set up and oversaw the asset management, treasury and financial reporting systems.
A graduate of Pace University’s Lubin School of Business, Don earned his bachelors degree in accounting and business administration. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, and a graduate of the Leadership Rockland Program.
Don likes to stay involved and help the communities where he lives and works. Don has volunteered his time coaching youth soccer and little league and serves on the boards of several organizations. He remains active in local civic, historical, and not-for-profit organizations including the United Hospice of Rockland and presently chairs the Endowment Fund Committee for the Historical Society of Rockland County.
Don and his wife Theresa reside in Orange County where having raised their two children, they operate a commercial horse boarding and breeding business with their daughter Vanessa.

A founding partner of GKG, Scott has been in public accounting since 1981, handling a diverse client base with a solid record of accomplishments. Scott is very responsive and demonstrates great concern for his clients. His professional experience includes expert services to manufacturing companies, distributors, retail, real estate owners and developers, professional services firms and contractors. Scott manages audit, review and compilation engagements, agreed upon procedures, and all tax services for these clients. He has also provided divorce advisory services to individuals for many years. Scott is a problem solver who always talks to you, not at you.
Scott is a licensed certified public accountant in the State of New York, having graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Bryant University, Smithfield, Rhode Island.
Scott is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a past president of the Medium-sized Firm’s Committee of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, a past president of the Board of Advisors for the Rockland County Unit of the American Cancer Society, graduate and Executive Board member of Leadership Rockland and Board member of the Rockland Economic Development Council. Scott was honored as the 2011 Leader of the Year by Leadership Rockland.
Scott is married and has two sons. His interests include playing golf, hiking, exercising, concerts and movies.

A partner with GKG for over 13 years, Wayne relies on 28 years of public accounting experience to counsel clients in the areas of school bus transportation, manufacturing and service industries. He also specializes in audit, tax and estate issues as well as in managing Internal Revenue Service and other state and local agencies audits to successful conclusions.
Wayne received his Bachelor of Arts degree from William Paterson College after four years of service in the US Navy. He is licensed to practice in New York and New Jersey and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the New York and New Jersey State Societies of Certified Public Accountants.
Wayne is on the Board of Directors of The Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan and is an active member on their Professional Advisors Committee. He is also a member of the Florida Union Free School District Audit Committee.
Wayne is married and has three children, all raised in the Village of Florida, New York. He enjoys playing golf, being active with Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Orange County and being part of community activities.

As the partner in charge of GKG’s Quality Control, Steven is responsible for maintaining the firm’s high-level accounting and audit practice and providing in-house training for all of its professional staff. He also specializes in business valuation and litigation support work for attorneys and other clients for use in estate and gift planning, buy/sell agreements and marital dissolution cases.
Steven joined the firm in 1994, after having worked at such prestigious firms as Rachlin & Cohen LLC (now MarcumRachlin). He is a licensed certified valuation analyst and certified public accountant in New York and New Jersey and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts, and New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Steven has twenty years of experience providing auditing, accounting, tax and advisory services to a diverse client base, including companies involved in manufacturing, financing, engineering, construction, supply distribution and retail chain stores. He specializes in providing consulting and auditing services for several corporate retirement plans.
Steven graduated with honors from Penn State with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. Steven is Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce and involved in other social and civic organizations in northern New Jersey where he lives with his wife and two daughters.

Ray is a partner who has lent his experience and advice to both individuals and closely-held businesses since he began with the firm in 1998. His client base spans various industries including transportation, retail, wholesale, service, and manufacturing. He has played a significant role in the firm’s employee benefit plan audit practice. He also chairs the firm’s information technology committee, whose decisions aim to improve the efficiency and quality of the service provided to our clients.
Having decided on a career in accounting as a freshman in high school, Ray graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas College with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is a member in good standing of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
With the goal of his work focused on client satisfaction, Ray has assumed his role as a partner with clients in various avenues, including the improvement of operational efficiencies, handling examinations by taxing authorities, and preparing useful and timely financial statements. By incorporating tax and estate planning into his service strategy, the client is serviced from the corporate level down to the individual owners.
Committed to giving back to his community, he has served on the Board of his local Rotary Club since 2006. Ray was named a Paul Harris fellow in 2009 for his dedication and charitable work in the name of the Rotary. In 2007, he was named by the Rockland Economic Development Corporation as one of the 2007 “40 Under 40″, based on extraordinary achievement in his career and contributions to the community. He joined the Board of Home Aides of Rockland in 2011; an organization aimed at providing affordable in-home healthcare for those in need and is currently serving as Treasurer. Among other charitable ventures, Ray has been a shavee multiple times for St. Baldrick’s organization, raising over $10,000 for pediatric cancer research.
His strong ties to the community are due to the fact that he was born and raised in Rockland County, where he now raises his two children with his wife Regina.

Tracy joined GKG in February 2013, bringing with her over 25 years of distinguished public accounting experience.Tracy is a licensed Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, CDFA™. She has a particular focus on women-owned businesses, management transitions, financial statement preparation, representation before state and federal tax authorities, strategic tax planning for individuals and businesses, divorce advisory services, employee benefit plans, not-for-profit organizations, and corporate tax structuring. Tracy advises professionals, business owners and individuals with advanced tax planning strategies to reduce state and federal tax obligations. She has significant experience and expertise in Internal Revenue Service representation and negotiating techniques.
Tracy entered the accounting profession immediately after receiving a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Hofstra University School of Business. She serves local colleges and universities to guide students toward the accounting profession as a board member for Career Opportunities in the Accounting Profession (COAP). She also serves on the Business Advisory Council for the State University of New York at New Paltz where she provides real world advice to the School of Business.
A past president and executive board member of the Mid-Hudson Chapter of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, Tracy co-chairs the chapter’s estate planning committee. She is also a member of Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan Professional Advisors Society. Tracy is licensed in New York as a CPA, is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Tracy lives in Gardiner, NY with her husband, Don, and she has two daughters. She loves to travel, and she is very passionate about her Yankees.
Dennis has more than 35 years of experience as a CPA serving both public and closely-held family businesses, forensic accounting and litigation support, valuations of professional and commercial entities, planning for businesses, professional practices and estate planning and taxation. Dennis also serves as an Expert retained by attorneys or appointed as a Neutral Financial Expert by the NYS courts. Dennis has testified as an expert witness in New York (Westchester, Queens, Rockland and Brooklyn), New Jersey and Connecticut cases. The cases involved closely-held business, contested matrimonial actions, license and professional practice valuation matters, tax issues of transactions, forensic examinations and tracing of assets, etc. He has testified in AAA arbitration and at depositions.
Dennis holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Queens College, City University of New York. He is a CPA and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA); New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), where he serves on the Anti-Money Laundering Committee, Litigation Support and Business Valuation Committees; and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), National Association of Certified Valuation Accountants (NACVA), and the New York Association of Collaborative Professionals (NYACP). His involvement in government and community spans the Southern New York Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Westchester Medical Center Foundation Board and Chair of the Westchester County Board of Ethics.

A founding partner of GKG, Martin (Marty) has been practicing public accounting for over fifty years since his graduation from New York University, School of Commerce, Accounts and Finance in 1959.
Marty deals with a broad client base, amongst which are manufacturing entities, food distributors, professional service firms and school bus companies. He specializes in mergers and acquisitions; business succession issues, bankruptcy, estate planning, and works closely with local and regional banks and other lending institutions on behalf of his clients.
Marty is active and has held leadership roles in many professional, community, civic and religious organizations, volunteering his time and expertise to them.
Marty is married with five children and thirteen grandchildren.

Gene joined GKG in January 2009, when the Poughkeepsie based firm he founded merged with the firm. He specializes in providing estate planning and taxation to individual and business clients, as well as law firms and other accounting firms.
Gene graduated from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics.
Gene was the founder and first president of the Hudson Valley Estate Planning Council. He serves on the Estate Planning Committee and the Trust and Estate Administration Committee of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has also lectured and written many articles on estate and income tax topics.
In the community, Gene has served as president of the Board of Trustees of the Bardavon 1869 Opera House, and the City of Poughkeepsie Rotary Club. He has also served on the boards as president and/or officer of the Jewish Community Center of Dutchess County, Rabbi Erwin Zimet Hebrew Day School, and Jewish Federations of Dutchess County. Gene was the recipient of the 2007 Michael H. Urbach, CPA Community Builders Award, which is given annually by the New York State Society of CPA’s for exemplary board leadership in charitable organizations.
Currently, Gene serves as Treasurer of the Dutchess County Historical Society; Trustee of The Jewish Federation of Dutchess County, and an advisory member of The Board of Spring Lake Ranch, a residential therapeutic community in Vermont.
Gene is married with five children, six grandchildren and a loving West Highland Terrier. Outside of work, his interests include tennis, crossword puzzles and his family.
John has over twenty years of diversified experience in federal and state taxation. A former Ernst & Young Senior Tax Manager who specialized in entrepreneurial services and corporate taxation, John also managed the tax practice of National Strategic Alliance (NSA) which concentrated on the tax issues and planning opportunities of high net worth individuals.
John is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.
